Totally going! (Apparently for the ok-good tickets – like 10th row – it costs $600!!) I’ll think I’ll sit in the back.

The Rolling Stones announced their 50 and Counting tour on Wednesday which will include one Canadian date: May 25 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

A second performance for June 6 was announced on Friday.

While the tour dates were teased with a billboard on the Gardiner Expressway, the band won’t hold rehearsals north of the border this time around, which it did prior to year-long tours in 1994, 1997 and 2005. This time, the warm-up will take place in Los Angeles.

But this North American jaunt is a relatively brief one that follows the concerts held last December in New York and London.

The announcement was made official with a video uploaded to YouTube.

Tickets for the Torontos date go on sale to the public on Monday, April 8 at 10 a.m.
